This vintage mailbox hangs on the wall inside my small home office and stores my envelopes in style. I used warm water and mild soap for the initial clean up of this thrift store find. When the brass finish on the antique mailbox was thoroughly dry, metal polish applied gently with a soft cloth shined the exterior. The patina was preserved with a light coating of satin finish polycrylic spray.
Standard size envelopes fit easily into the storage compartment. You can also store small bubble padded mailers as well as legal-size envelopes. The contents are organized and sorted by size and type. With the envelopes so readily in sight, I know at a glance when supplies are running low.
